Home decor items may be returned within 10 days of delivery for a full refund of the product only. Customers are responsible for the initial shipping costs should they decide to return the item.
The decision to accept photography returns is at the discretion of The Compulsive Traveler, as each print is special order for the client.
If you need to return an item, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond within 24 hours with instructions for how to return items from your order.
Return Shipping is the responsibility of the client. We appreciate your understanding.
We ship worldwide via United States Postal Service!
All US orders over $50 will ship for free via ground delivery!
All international orders over $750 will ship for free!
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Shipping dates shown are an estimate, not guaranteed. Once your order leaves The Compulsive Traveler within one to two business days, your package is out of our hands, literally. Any delays that may occur are the responsibility and results of the courier, and The Compulsive Traveler cannot be held responsible.
Please, also, note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
CUSTOMS & IMPORT TAXES
The Compulsive Traveler is not responsible for any customs or import taxes that may be required by international couriers and the country to which packages are being delivered.
Orders that fall subject to non-delivery due to failed delivery attempts or declined delivery are not subject for refund.
We are not responsible for the loss of packages by delivery couriers, but will do all be can to resolve the issue.
IS ALL OF THE PHOTOGRAPHY ON THIS WEBSITE ORIGINAL?
Yes! All photographs for sale on The Compulsive Traveler Website were taken by Natalie Rathman, the owner and founder of The Compulsive Traveler, while traveling around the world. All images are copyrighted.
HOW ARE THE COMPULSIVE TRAVELER PHOTOS PRINTED?
Thanks for asking! This is one of the best parts. Every photo is professionally printed and handled by one of the best and award winning companies in the world*. Every photo is printed on 100% cotton archival Hahnemühle rag paper. it is nicely weighted and has a beautiful flat finish.
*Due to limitations we are unable to print in the studio.
HOW DO YOU SHIP THE PHOTOGRAPHS?
Once signed and numbered, each photograph will be covered with a specialty paper or liner, and rolled and sealed in a special The Compulsive Traveler photography tube, then securely packed and boxed, and sent on its way. We take great measure to prevent damage to the photographs before they arrive to their new owners.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Home decor items will leave the studio within 2 business days of receipt.
Please allow approximately 7 business days for your print order to leave the studio. Every image is professionally printed in Germany, then will be shipped to Natalie to be signed and number. From there, orders will be shipped via UPS & may take up to 5 business day to ship within the US. We will update your order throughout the process.
Photographic prints and home decor items may ship separately depending on availability.

I RECEIVED MY ORDER, BUT IT WAS DAMAGED. WHAT DO I DO?
Definitely, contact us. Every order will be inspect and properly repackaged after being signed and number & prior to shipping. However, should it have been damaged in shipping, we may request photos of the packaging in order to properly file a claim with the courier. You can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
I RECEIVED MY ORDER, BUT IT WAS NOT WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR. CAN I RETURN IT?
Please keep in mind, that every The Compulsive Traveler photograph is specially printed for each client. Each client has 10 days from the date of delivery to submit a request for return. The decision to accept photography returns is at the discretion of The Compulsive Traveler. Should the return be accepted, the customer will be responsible for return shipping, as well as the original shipping fees incurred by The Compulsive Traveler which will be deducted at the time the refund is processed.
All home items are eligible for return within 10 days of delivery. Return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer.
HOW DOES THE DONATION PROGRAM WORK?
For every photo purchased, 5% will be donated to the charity:water organization. All you have to do is make your purchase, and we take care of the rest. Once we have verified that you are outside of the return period, we will submit the donation.
charity:water was chosen because despite Natalie's enduring passion for wildlife and nature, she believes that caring for our planet starts with the people on it. The stronger and healthier people are, the better they can take care of this beautiful planet that we all call home. ..this starts with water.
HOW CAN I TRUST THAT A DONATION WILL BE MADE?
Once your purchase from The Compulsive Traveler is complete, and we are certain that you are satisfied with your purchase*, a donation will be made in your honor to charity:water. You will receive an e-card to the same email address that you used to purchase your new photographs.
*We will verify that you are outside of your return period prior to make the donation. Please allow up to 25 business days from the date of your delivery prior to inquiring. Donations are made between the 15th & 31st of the following month.
IT HAS BEEN OVER 7 DAYS SINCE I RECEIVED MY ORDER, BUT I HAVEN'T RECEIVED A DONATION EMAIL. WHAT'S HAPPENING?
Thanks, for checking. Feel free to always check in and ask. It is possible that we are running behind. However, We do request that you give us up to 20 business days from the date of your delivery to process the donation. It is also possible that we may have provided charity:water with the wrong email address. Mistakes happen, we are all only human after all! Either way, we will always follow up with you in regard to the donation, and promise we will always follow through with making the donation.
